How to Improve Your Prosperity

Do Feng Shui principles actually play a role in the development or improvement of prosperity? Will it make a difference if you focus new positive energy on improving your income generation?

The answer is a qualified yes. Remember, one of the principles of Feng Shui is the use of positive energy to bring about desired results. You cannot expect a positive shift in energy to create prosperity and money for you unless your surroundings and actions align with your thinking so that you are in harmony and balance with your objective… improved prosperity and a better income. For the ancient Chinese, Feng Shui was all about living life in harmony with planet earth and creating abundance which included longevity, good health and prosperity.

 Have you ever said to yourself, “If I only had just a few more dollars I’d be happier.” Or, “I wish I could stretch my income further so I wouldn’t feel so broke at the end of each month.” You are not alone, especially in today’s economy.

Begin with the Basics: When shifting energy to improve prosperity and generate new or additional income, it is critical that there is no clutter in your home standing in your way. Generally speaking, clutter throughout the house will inhibit the flow of prosperity and additional income because it is stagnant energy. Specifically, there are three areas you need to concentrate on when uncluttering:

• the southeast area of your bedroom and living room

• the northwest area of your living room

• the east area of your bedroom and living room

When your rooms are uncluttered, apply the same clutter clearing process to your office and desk whether you work outside of the house or have an in-home office. If there is stagnant energy due to collected clutter, magazines, laundry, books, boxes and newspapers in your house and office, there is no room for new fresh energy to help you create that improved prosperity and income. Overcoming volumes of stagnant energy is very difficult but extremely easy to get rid of. Just be merciless and get rid of it.

Focus Positive Energy on Improvement and Growth: Now comes the fun part, energize the areas noted above to help focus energy on improving your prosperity.

• In the southeast areas of your bedroom, living room and office or desk, place a very healthy wonderful green plant that reaches upward. Care for this plant well as it energizes income growth, wealth and abundance. You can also use a jade plant which has leaves shaped a little like money (coins) otherwise use something like lucky bamboo that grows profusely and reaches upward. Be sure that your plant is always healthy. The moment it looks ill remove and replace it. If you absolutely do not have a green thumb, use an abundant, rich green colored silk or permanent plant.

• In the northwest area of your living room and office or desk place something silver that is sizeable, perhaps even a little dramatic. It can be a statue, a vase or a series of pictures framed in silver. If you choose to use pictures be sure the pictures are of people that have helped you, a teamwork type poster or even a picture of someone like Lance Armstrong and his bicycling team or Michael Phelps and his Gold Medal winning Olympic Swim team. The picture should represent helpful people. When you want to improve your income you can use all the help you can get. Since the northwest area of your home and office represents helpful people, you want to make sure the energy is properly flowing in this area to bring you all the helpful people, referrals and connections you need. Silver is the metal representative of such help and also represents money.

• The third area you need to energize is the east area of your bedroom, living room and office. East provides the energy for giving birth to new ideas, new things, growth and a new way of life. It is energized through the use of wood. A magnificent picture of redwood trees or ancient oriental pine trees energizes great growth, staying power and longevity. Something actually made out of wood in a natural wood color or green, tall and rectangular would also work well for this area such as a tall wooden piece of furniture. Focusing energy in the east helps you give birth to your new life of improved prosperity and increased income.

Whatever you choose to energize the various areas needs to be something you love that gives you good positive energy so choose carefully.

Prosperity Rule: Prosperity comes in many forms but in this case income is at the top of your list. Unclutter your personal environment, especially the wealth and growth areas of your home and office. Remember my simple rule for un-cluttering, “If you don’t love it, it doesn’t look great on you or you haven’t used it for two years, get rid of it.”

Keep in mind that when you do a major energizing, especially in significant areas of your life such as prosperity, the results can be immediate but often take anywhere from six weeks to three months for the energy to completely shift. Positive energy shifts will improve your prosperity when supporting your intent coupled with your action plan.
